I found a case of Insanity at my local distributor for 75 bones.
I've never had insanity, but I love Blithering Idiot. Do you think it's worth $75 to have a whole case to age for the next few years? I've been looking around for 4 packs or 22oz bottles, but I haven't been able to find any locally. I really would like to find some, but I just don't know if its worth it to "try" a $75 case.

CAPONES! Call Capones first. But, I am almost certain you'll be happy with the purchase if you must get a case.
Also, my favorite distributor, a place called Frank Smith's in Pottstown, sometime puts me together mixed cases upon request. Maybe they could make a nifty expensive kickass barleywine case for you?
If you but the case, save me 4 pack and I'll reimburse you. This and HEresey are my favorite Weyerbacker brews. Period.

I stopped by "The Blue Dog" on my way home today and scored 2 12oz Insanities! And at that they were $2.09 each! I'm definitely having one this weekend.

At that price it's cheaper than buying a $75 case! www.bluedog.cc/There is a location in Chalfont and another in Lansdale I think I might have to stop in again and wipe out there supply

I finally got around to drinking this one of father's day. My goodness this beer is fantastic! I went back to Blue Dog a few days after I purchased the two bottles and I noticed that they almost doubled the price ($4.09). I guess I got a special deal.
12oz bottle poured into a Chimay Chalice
A - Deep copper in color with a thin tan head that took a few seconds after the pour to form itself. S - A sweet malty vanilla with an oak presence. T - At first, when the beer was still a little cold, the flavor was a sweet malty vanilla, but as it warmed up the bourbon really took over (in a good way). Fantastic flavor! Huge oak presence with the dark fruits that reminded me this was once Blithering Idiot. M - A full flavor with subtle carbonation that sat on the tongue perfectly. D - This was a slow sipper that lasted me a solid 90 minutes, and each one of those minutes was fantastic. The flavor was never harsh and was always enjoyable. The bourbon and the overall strength of the beer kept me pacing myself, and I'm glad I took the time to savor this one.
