I'm not sure if there are any other homebrewers on this forum, but this beer is FANTASTIC! Hands down the best homebrew I've ever made. I've brewed this three times already and I'm going to try and always keep this one on hand.
thepaintedman - I bought some of this to your house last year when we were over for dinner.
This is a twist on the Special Bitter from the book "Brewing Classic Styles" by Jamil
Name: Special Bitter Brewer: landis Size: 5.0 gallons US Style: Special/Best/Premium Bitter OG: 1.049, FG:1.012, Alc:4.8, IBU:28.3 (Alc method: by Volume; IBU method: Tinseth)
Yeast: Wyeast 1968 English London E.S.B
Fermentables: Belgian Aromatic 0.50 lb Crystal 120 0.50 lb DME, Extra Light 3.00 lb Marris Otter 3.75 lb Special Roast 0.25 lb
Hops: Name amount units Alpha Min IBU Fuggles 1.50 oz 4.5 60.0 25.4 Fuggles 0.50 oz 4.5 10.0 3.0

I used Willamette hops this time instead of the Fuggles and they worked perfectly. If I can keep my hands off of them I'll try and save you a few.
