This is definitely what I'll do for a celebratory anniversary with the lady. I might have to donate the IPAs to you from the variety pack, but it sounds like this dessert might be a winner.

See my post in the Where to Find Good Beer- Collegeville Wegmans thread, but I picked up a six pack of the Milk Stout, and six pack of the Strawberry Wheat, since I am not an IPA man. I am sipping the Stout now and it is superb.
Question- should I pour the Stout first, then the Strawberry Wheat when making the chocolate covered strawberry dessert? I would think the chocolate syrup would sit better on the head of the Stout, but maybe I'm wrong.

Did you figure it out?
When I had it, the beers mixed and the syrup seeped in but was visible on top. Because i'ts not layered, I don't think it matters which you pour first. Tell me how it works.

Whicked awesome. Poured the Stout first, then the strawberry. I was surprised how dark the strawberry was.
Word of caution when you try this: leave room at the top for the head to fizz when drizzling the chocolate. It was actually created a nice foamy head and pretty cool effect, but definitely unexpected and the beer spilt over the rim a bit.
But all in all great dessert, and if you have a woman who likes beer, they will enjoy it too! At the bottom of the glass there was excess chocolate with little beer, so my wife poured it over a piece of angel food cake and topped it with strawberries and whip cream to make a delish LBC chocolate covered strawberry beer shortcake. Be sure to try it sometime.
We really enjoyed the Strawberry Wheat on its own, as well. Good fruity beer.
For this recommendation, Justin, I exalt you. If I could, I would knight you "Sir Sips Alot," but this will have to do for now...

Really want to go pick up the variety pack so I can try this. I love both of those beers on their own, so I can only imagine how tasty the chocolate covered strawberry is.
